Dr. K.E. Reby Roy obtained his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Trivandrum, Masters Degree from TKM College of Engineering, Kollam and PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. His research areas include Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Methods, Cryogenics, Superconductivity, Space technology and conjugate heat transfer. He is a registered supervisor for doctoral studies in the University of Kerala, Trivandrum and the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Trivandrum. He is also a doctoral committee member in the Anna University, Chennai and the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. At present he is guiding 6 Doctoral Students. He is the Coordinator of the International Research Collaborations Cell, TKMCE and also the PG Coordinator for M.Tech. (CIM), TKMCE. He is an active member of the Research Council, TKMCE and the Academic Committee of TEQIP, TKMCE. He has to his credit a large number of publications in international journals and conferences. He has also obtained consultancy projects from Indian Space Organisation (ISRO). He has presented invited lectures in various institutions in India and abroad. He was invited by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kookmin University, Seoul, Republic of Korea on the 25th of February 2016 for presenting an invited talk on “Investigations on the effect of helix angle on the transient chill down of helically coiled liquid nitrogen transfer lines”. He has organized 6 Faculty Development programmes, 1 Staff Development Programme and 1 Workshop at TKMCE using the funds obtained from TEQIP, AICTE etc. He was the Joint secretory in the organizing committee of the “International Conference on Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering” conducted at TKMCE during 14-16 December 2015. He has visited several reputed Technical Universities around the globe including Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, University of Twente, Netherlands, Kookmin University, South Korea and has initiated collaborative research works with the Professors of foreign Universities. He has made major contributions in the initiation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) of TKMCE with Kookmin University, Seoul, South Korea on the 30th of September 2016 and presently doing a collaborative research work titled “Numerical Evaluation of Fluid Microjet Nozzle for Effective Dispersion on a Skin Phantom Model” with Dr. Jung Kyung Kim, Vice Dean, College of Engineering, Kookmin University, Seoul, Republic of Korea.
