Particle technology lab is a course offered in B. Tech Chemical Engineering. The objective of the laboratory is to enable the students to calculate specific surface area, particle size and screen effectiveness using sieve analysis, to verify crushing laws and energy consumption, reduction ratio in Jaw crusher, Ball Mill and Drop weight crusher, to determine solid separation in cyclone separator, to calculate thickener area using batch sedimentation experiment and to determine specific cake resistance and filter medium resistance in a Filter press and Leaf Filter.
