The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) functions with a view to maintain effective interaction between the institution and the parents to give a touch of parental care for the students. It actively involves in training and placement, up gradation of co-curricular and extra curricular activities and counseling of students. It provides financial support for needy students. Meetings are convened to discuss the issues connected with the smooth functioning of the college. The association provides a common forum for interaction of parents and teachers so as to improve facilities for academic excellence.
Back to Home-TKMCE Project for flood hit areas of Kerala.
The College along with alumni and parents became instrumental in completing the initiative ‘ Back to Home’ to rebuild flood engulfed houses.The students and faculty of the Departments of Architecture, Civil Engineering and TKM School of rchitecture have collectively brought out innovative and economically feasible house designs capable of overcoming natural calamities – the testimony of a synergy developed among the most talented in our fraternity. The goal was to construct houses of about 550 square feet for a cost of around 6 lakhs which assured sustainability, economic viability and time constraints using precast reinforced units. The college has completed 16 houses at different parts of Kerala under this project.
