The Department is having a library with ample space and large collection of books, to support the faculty and students of the Department. The Library’s collection aims to be particularly strong in the areas relevant to the Electronics and Communication stream. There are around 3102 volumes of books. The library provides access to wide range of resources such as textbooks, Reference manuals, Journals and technical magazines.
All the books prescribed in the syllabus for undergraduate and postgraduate courses are made available in the Departmental library. Moreover it has a good collection of project reports, and seminar reports.
The alumnus of our department mainly 1987 batch and 1995 batch has contributed a good collection of books. Neethi memorial book bank is sponsored by the parents and classmates of Late Mrs. Neethi Vijayaraghavan, alumni of the department (1987 batch).
Library is accessible for students and faculty members during the working hours of the College. Books are issued to the faculty and students of the Department.
The department offers PCB prototyping solution for students and research scholars . This solution mainly offers Engraving, Hatching, Milling, Drilling, and Cutting. In this machine, tools are changed manually. It's available in two communication modes (Parallel port / USB mode). This machine is controlled by the CNC controller with Mach3 CNC software. Its working area is 220x330x120 mm. Its resolution is 3.125 Micrometers. The machine is suitable for students in developing customised PCB related to their projects and also used in training students in the domain of PCB fabrication.
The department has purchased MS46122A/B-010 compact network analyzer . It is part of the ShockLine™ family of Vector Network Analyzers from Anritsu. It is a 2-port Compact Vector Network Analyzer working in the frequency range of 1 MHz to 8GHz and is capable of s-parameter and time domain measurements. The MS46122A is based on patented shockline VNA on chip technology, which simplifies the internal VNA architecture at high frequencies, reduces instrument cost and enhances accuracy and measurement repeatability. It is ideal for students and research scholars for testing RF and Microwave passive devices. When connected with an external PC and installed with software from ShockLine family, this provides a powerful graphical user interface for debugging and manual testing of devices.
