M.Tech – Electronics and Communication Engineering
( Communication Systems)

The M.Tech degree Course is for two years comprises of four semesters. Eligibility for admission to M.Tech (Communication Systems) programme is a ‘pass’ in the B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication or Applied Electronics and Instrumentation with 60% marks of any University recognized by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala. Duration is counted from the first registration date of the student (in the first semester). Credit system is adopted for the course. Grade point average is calculated on the basis of all courses taken by the student. The total credits for the course is 68.


PSO1

Sound knowledge and skill to analyze and solve various problems in communication systems.

PSO2

Competence in specialized software packages and tools useful for the analysis and design of optimum algorithms for solving issues in various stages of communication systems.

PSO3

Adaptable to the changing requirements and having high degree of professional ethics, societal responsibilities and environmental outlook to pursue a successful global career.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

  • PO1: Ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems.
  • PO2: Ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.
  • PO3: Ability to demonstrate a degree of mastery invarious stages in communication systems. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program.
  • PO4: Ability to identify, analyse and solve engineering problems in the field of communication systems using knowledge in mathematics, science and engineering.
  • PO5: Hands on expertise in using modern hardware and software packages for design, simulation and development of optimum algorithms for solving various problems in communication systems.
